HMRC Tax
The HMRC (formerly known as the Inland Revenue and Customs and Excise) are taking a strong line in their collections department.
Recently they appointed a further ten debt collection companies to collect between 500 million and 1.4 billion that is outstanding.
The time to pay (TTP) scheme is becoming less accessable. In the last three months of this year, 10,000 companies applied for TTP and only 1.7% were successful. Compared with at the height of the credit when 80% of applications were accepted.
